The scope of each service, fees, and timeline are agreed in writing prior to commencement. Services are delivered in the English language and are governed by Singapore law.

5. Engagement and Agreement

A legal engagement with Rivvex is formalised only upon execution of a written engagement letter signed by both parties. An enquiry or initial consultation does not constitute a binding engagement. The terms of any engagement are set out in the engagement letter, which takes precedence over these general terms where there is a conflict.

6. User Responsibilities

In connection with any engagement, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information relevant to your matter
• Inform us promptly if circumstances relevant to your matter change
• Meet agreed timelines for providing documents or instructions
• Use the outputs of our services only for lawful purposes
• Refrain from sharing confidential Rivvex work product with unauthorised third parties

7. Fees and Payment

Fees are denominated in Singapore Dollars and are stated in the engagement letter. Payment terms are set out in the engagement letter and are typically due within 14 days of invoice. Rivvex reserves the right to suspend work where fees remain outstanding beyond the agreed payment period.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Rivvex website — including text, layout, and design — is owned by or licensed to Rivvex. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from website content without written permission. Work product delivered as part of a legal engagement is licensed to you for the purpose for which it was created and must not be shared as general legal advice or published without consent.

9. Confidentiality

Solicitor-client privilege applies to all communications and information exchanged in the context of a legal engagement. Rivvex will not disclose confidential client information to third parties without consent, except as required by law or in limited circumstances described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

Legal advisory services are provided with reasonable care and skill in accordance with Singapore professional conduct standards. Rivvex does not warrant that any particular legal outcome will be achieved. The law may change after advice is provided and Rivvex is not responsible for ensuring ongoing applicability beyond the scope of the engagement. 11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Rivvex's liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. Rivvex is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of the website or from a legal engagement. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by negligence.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by providing written notice. Rivvex will invoice for work completed up to the date of termination. We reserve the right to terminate an engagement if a client provides false information, fails to pay fees, or places Rivvex in a position of conflict of interest.

13. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these terms or from a legal engagement will first be referred to senior management at Rivvex for informal resolution. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute may be referred to mediation under the Singapore Mediation Centre. Court proceedings may be initiated in the courts of Singapore if mediation is unsuccessful.

14. General

• Entire agreement: These terms, together with any engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between the parties on the relevant subject matter.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
• No waiver: Failure to enforce any term does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it subsequently.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under an engagement without our prior written consent.

15. Changes to These Terms

Rivvex may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
